Reflections
Reflections mirror a shape in a particular line, and cause it to move position on the coordinate axes.
Reflections are a type of graphical transformation performed on a 2D shape. It is rather like placing a mirror and seeing where the shape gets reflected.
There are two ideas we need to be comfortable with: reflecting a shape in a given line or, given two shapes, stating the line of reflection.
Complete this sentence: reflected shapes are ___________ from the line of reflection as the original shape.
We also may want to identify the line of reflection from two shapes. The goal here is to find the midpoints of the vertices, and join these up with a straight line.
